In 2024, we provided an 18 hole putt putt experience to the Carlstadt Public Library. It was a huge success with the attendees of Carlstadt Street Fair and for this who ventured into the library as part of the Street Fair activities. While the course was a success, we encountered numerous logistical challenges when the course was installed the night before the Street Fair. Quite frankly, we failed in anticipating the logistical nuances in producing this 18 hole putt putt rental and while we were pleased with the result, we were not pleased with our processes getting to the result.

We were thrilled that Carlstadt Public Library provided us with another opportunity in 2025 and we were going to take what we learned in 2024 and insure that it was properly implemented in 2025. We had a layout of the library as this was a two floor installation with 9 holes being installed on the main floor and the other 9 holes being installed in the basement. There are steps to get to the main level and to the basement so we made sure that we had more labor in 2025 than compared to 2024. Additionally, we pre produced the holes for both levels and then packed them a certain way with proper labelling in our truck to streamline the process of installation. This step alone saved over two hours compared to 2024. We also had extra fairways and fairway rails just in case the library had moved certain book shelves and other areas were changed from the previous year. This provided us with flexibility just in case changes had to made on site during the installation process.

Our total installation time for this course was 2.5 hours including the branding that we provided and we installed the 18 holes the night prior to the event date. The front 9 holes were installed on the main level and that installation included placing holes in the aisles between the book shelves and the aisles are not straight and wide aisles but narrow and angled aisles. Additional holes were placed in the guest & reading areas of the main floor and there was a specific flow as hole 9 ended where the attendees would then walk down the stairs to start to play holes 10 through 18. Once the back 9 was completed, players would then proceed to the front of the building to return their golf clubs and balls to the putter stand where one of our staff was positioned.

Among the branding that we created for Carlstadt Public Library was taking their logo and creating 18 branded indoor flags. On two putt putt obstacles we dangled books for players to putt through and around. One of these obstacles was placed on hole 1 on the main level and the other obstacle on the back 9. Other obstacles included a red Loop de Loop, an orange crown and a red crown with each having three openings which surrounded the cups at their respective holes. Other elements included our 3 window obstacle to putt through and various bumps placed along fairways.
