While both mini golf & putt putt events are popular throughout the year, the month of June is the start of the peak season. As a result, there are periods of time when we are either sold out completely of our experiences or close to sold out.

We were contacted on the last day of April by a public relations company to create a custom 9 hole putt putt experience at a hotel for a conference that was being held in Orlando, Florida in the very early part of June. The public relations company wanted a blue turf but other than knowing that they wanted 9 holes with blue turf, they did not have a venue. Not knowing a venue meant we had absolutely no idea how to design each individual hole and the overall course. Lastly, by not knowing the venue we did not have any idea of what the logistics would be as far loading in and loading out.

As the days passed without knowing the venue but the client adamant on wanting to proceed a decision was made to use our putt putt experience to create the 9 hole rental. This way if the logistics were challenging, we could at least transport the putt putt panels a certain way which provides versatility in loading in and out of venues. Additionally, the putt putt experience provides the opportunity to remove and add panels to each hole and that can be done on site. This allows us to adjust each hole and the overall course if necessary once on site.

During the 3rd week of May, a venue was selected and an agreement was sent to the PR company for signature. Due to the size of the PR firm, we received the signed agreement back the day before we had to leave for Florida to drive the putt putt experience down. Our 9 hole course included branded turf logos and flags, a blue Loop de Loop obstacle, a railway bridge to connect fairways on one of the holes, a red crown obstacle placed around a cup and an orange 3 window obstacle to putt through. We actually had more obstacles on the truck and the putt putt course installer had the leeway to use what he thought would work given the unknown variables that we were walking into due to the last minute nature of this request.
